How should I prepare for an acupuncture treatment?

Have something to eat about an hour before your scheduled treatment. You don’t want to be full, but an empty stomach can sometimes make patients feel light-headed after a treatment. Wear loose fitting clothing or bring a pair of shorts along. This allows for easier access to the points without having to disrobe.

What are the benefits of forming a personalized treatment plan with your acupuncturist?

One of the more unique qualities about TCM is the ability to cater a series of acupuncture points or an herbal formula to a single individual. The advantage is in finding the underlying cause to a patient’s pain or discomfort; not merely dampening the symptoms. This is the meaning of restoring balance to the body. Acupuncture is a safe and effective method of encouraging the body’s natural healing process. These techniques are cost-effective and natural. TCM is powerful and preventative with long-lasting benefits. With the continued use of TCM, you can feel better physically, mentally and emotionally. Treatments are tailored to each individual.
